Time of Establishment:October 5,1933

History:  Proposed by Hu Xianxiao, Xin Shuzhi, Li Jidong, etc., BSC was established in 1933.Quite a lot academic activities were presented before the War of Resistance Against Japan and the activities reduced afterwards. The fifth annual meeting was held in July 1949 in Beijing, more than 500 members were enrolled. It was approved and registered in March 1951 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Central People s Government. All the activities were suspended between 1966 and 1977. In 1978, the 45th annual meeting was held in Kunming, in which the 8th council was set up and Tang Peisong was elected the president. Fourteen councils have been elected since then.
