As the world’s second-largest economy, the Chinese government has been making considerable efforts to
advocate technology innovation and promote technological development through scientific and technological
structural reforms and generous financial support. China had a population of 1.37 billion at the end of 2015 and the key issues of health, agriculture, and environmental science have attracted global attention. In recent years, Chinese scientists have made significant progress and achieved many breakthroughs in the life sciences. In order to promote interdisciplinary communication with scientists worldwide and show the strength and innovative achievements of Chinese scientists in the life sciences, this conference reinforces the inextricable link between China and the world. We have currently confirmed the attendance of 13 Nobel laureates, 3 World Food Prize laureates, the President of the American Academy of Science, and the President of The Royal Society at the conference.
