On May 8-11, 2015, the 4th National Seed Science and Technology Symposium themed “Seed Scientific Research and Dream” was held in Guangzhou, China. Over 100 experts from 40 universities and institutions attended the meeting. The symposium was co-organized by the Seed Science and Technology Commission affiliated to Botanical Society of China, Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The symposium included 4 plenary lectures and 12 Keynote Symposia, involving in the advances and hotspot issues of seed science and technology. Topics of the meeting mainly covered seed germination and dormancy, seed vigor and life and other related fields.
